February 2012

Wheelchairs Distribution

The Rotary Club receives wheelchairs from the Belize City Club. This was made possible through the efforts of RC Belize City and RC Clovis of New Mexico, USA.

Over 25 requests have been made and with the assistance of the Rotaract Club, these wheelchairs have been distributed to people in need.

December 2011

Rotary Xmas Raffle
Raffle of 32" LCD TV and Xmas Hamper on Dec. 23rd. This is one of our main fundraisers. Thanks to the Orange Walk community for their support and making it a success.

November 2011

District Governor's Visit
District Governor José Moreno and spouse Linda make official visit to our club on Nov. 8th. Dinner was served at The Smokey Mermaid where we had the company of our spouses and Rotary Friends.

September 2011

Independence Day Food Stall

Sale of Rotary Burger and Sausages Specials on Sept. 21st. Stall set up next to the Post Office

Rotary Book Grants

On Sept. 2nd Rotary hands over cheques to Students of the 5 High Schools awarded Book Grants for the 2011-12 school year. Cheques also handed to students under the National Scholarship Program.

	August 2011
	August 1 - 5th Belize Literacy Project 2 of 24 Canadian educators visiting Belize come to Orange Walk to continue the task of improving the literacy rates of Belize students. This is a collaboration effort between Belize Rotary Clubs with Rotary District 5370 and the Rotary Club of Red Deer. For more info click here.
	August 28th 40th Club Anniversary
	Our club achieves 40 years of service to the Orange Walk Communities and the country of Belize. Since the clubs formation in 1971, there have been numerous projects in the areas of Education, Medical, Literacy, and more. This milestone is quite an achievement for Rotary in Orange Walk and makes the current members PROUD.
